Set up CSMRDA Mail

Connect your @csmrda.in mailbox securely to your phone, tablet, Outlook, or Thunderbird.

Before you begin Use your full email address and mailbox password. This page never asks for or stores your password.

Secure server settings

Use these values in every email app. Choose IMAP, not POP or Exchange.

Choose your email app

The wording may differ slightly by app version. If automatic detection fails, choose manual setup.

  1. Open your email app and choose Add account, then Other.
  2. Enter your full email address and choose Personal (IMAP) or IMAP.
  3. For incoming mail, enter mail.csmrda.in, port 993, security SSL/TLS.
  4. For outgoing mail, enter mail.csmrda.in, port 587, security STARTTLS. Turn Require sign-in on.
  5. Use your full email address as the username on both screens, then finish setup.

Apple MailiPhone and iPad
  1. Open Settings → Apps → Mail → Mail Accounts → Add Account.
  2. Choose Add Other Account, then Mail Account.
  3. Enter your name, full email address, mailbox password, and a description.
  4. Choose IMAP. For both incoming and outgoing host name, enter mail.csmrda.in.
  5. Enter your full email address and password under both servers, then tap Save.

Classic Outlook for Windows

  1. Choose File → Add Account → Advanced options.
  2. Select Let me set up my account manually, then IMAP.
  3. Enter IMAP 993 / SSL/TLS and SMTP 587 / STARTTLS.
  4. Enable outgoing authentication, use the same full address and password, and leave SPA off.

Outlook mobile

  1. Open your avatar → Settings → Mail Accounts → Add Mail Account.
  2. Add your full address, choose IMAP, then open Advanced Settings.
  3. If requested in host:port format, use mail.csmrda.in:993 incoming and mail.csmrda.in:587 outgoing.

Privacy note: Outlook mobile can synchronize a copy of a non-Microsoft IMAP mailbox through Microsoft Cloud. If your policy requires a direct connection, use Apple Mail, your device Mail app, or Thunderbird.

  1. Open the menu and choose New Account → Existing Email Account.
  2. Enter your name, full email address, and mailbox password, then choose Configure manually.
  3. Incoming: IMAP, mail.csmrda.in, port 993, SSL/TLS, authentication Normal password.
  4. Outgoing: SMTP, the same host, port 587, STARTTLS, authentication Normal password.
  5. Use your full email address for both usernames, choose Re-test, then Done.

Something not working?

  • Confirm the same full address and password work in webmail.
  • If your password changed, update it in every email app and device.
  • If SMTP port 587 is blocked by the network, try port 465 with SSL/TLS.
  • If a device is lost, change the mailbox password promptly.
